Invicta Volleyball Club was founded in 2021 by Kassidee and Eric Walker. After moving back to the Salt Lake Valley, Kass was looking for an opportunity to continue coaching. However, she could not find a club that embodied everything she was looking for. Rather than settling, she decided to build her own club with her husband. Pairing her expertise and years of volleyball experience with his leadership development and performance training background, they created the Invicta Volleyball Club. The name "Invicta" is latin for Unconquered. Unconquered doesn't mean undefeated.
It means that you learned, you got better, and that you didn't give up.
It takes more than skill to be a successful volleyball player. It requires strength, power, endurance, flexibility, focus, and mental discipline. If you aren't strong off the court, how can you be strong on the court?
We know that it's impossible for one coach to know everything. That's why we bring in specialty coaches. Not only do we focus on volleyball positions and skills, but what it takes to be a great athlete and person. We have Nutritionists, Position Specific Coaches, Stretch Experts, and a Mental Performance Mentor. We know that the skills and techniques you learn from these coaches will benefit the rest of your life, not just your volleyball career.
Every club says they are team oriented, but at Invicta we mean it. Our teams are not allowed to be on their phones at tournaments and they must sit together. At out-of-state tournaments the girls share hotel rooms, they eat all of their meals together, and they go to study hall together. Each team is required to have one formal, athlete-hosted, team event per month and are encouraged to have informal events more often.
